- The survey reached 30,084 households across 34 States and Union Territories, covering both urban and rural populations.
- Conducted by the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy in partnership with Surveykshan (under YOLO 9 Technologies), the survey aimed to assess the awareness, adoption, and health impact of yoga over the last 10 years.

- 24.6% of respondents reported better fitness and physical well-being.

6. Who Is Practicing Yoga? A Demographic Overview
The data reflects an encouraging trend in both awareness and practice across demographics:
- Urban yoga practitioners: 12.6%
- Rural yoga practitioners: 10.4%
- Male regular practitioners: 11.6%
- Female regular practitioners: 10.7%
Interestingly, the 18–24 age group showed the highest awareness, proving the impact of digital campaigns and youth outreach. However, the 65+ age group had the highest percentage of regular practitioners, indicating a strong link between aging and a desire for inner balance and physical well-being.
