YOGA STYLE

Hatha

Hatha Yoga is often referred to as the foundation of modern yoga. The term "Hatha" comes from the Sanskrit words "Ha" (sun) and "Tha" (moon), symbolizing the balance of opposing forces. Hatha Yoga is about creating harmony between the body and mind through physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and meditation.

Ashtanga

Ashtanga Yoga is a vigorous and disciplined style of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures. Founded by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Ashtanga Yoga is rooted in the eight limbs (Ashtanga) of yoga described by the sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. It emphasizes a strong connection between movement and breath, creating a flowing, energetic practice.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa Yoga, also known as "flow yoga," is a dynamic and creative style of yoga that emphasizes the seamless flow of movement synchronized with breath. Unlike Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga does not follow a fixed sequence, allowing for more variety and creativity in each class.

Kecak dance

On one of the evenings during the retreat, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to witness the mesmerizing Kecak Dance. This traditional Balinese Hindu dance and music drama is based on the epic story of Ramayana.

The dance is performed by a large group of artists who create rhythmic and harmonious sounds by chanting “cak” while depicting various scenes from the

Ramayana. The performance takes place in a temple or village setting under the starry Balinese night, providing an enchanting and spiritually rich experience.
